Zed Bias’s “Been Here Before” sets the tone: Eliza Rose opens with a crate-digger’s instinct, threading vocal garage, 2-step, bass-heavy house and rave flashbacks into a fluid 20-track excursion. AllMusic praises how the mix “seamlessly mixes Y2K-era UKG/2-step throwbacks” with newer selections, and that balance between archival warmth and present-tense club energy is its defining pleasure.

The set grows rowdier through Cadence’s echoing chords, Donna Dee’s cheeky old-school hip-hop inflection and the sharp pianos of Champagne Bubbler’s “Got 2 Work,” while Rose’s “Pingers” supplies a smoother, hedonistic center. The older tracks often hit hardest, but the newer material keeps the momentum bright and playful rather than purely nostalgic. Closing with Rose’s “Morning Light,” which AllMusic calls “a wistful drum’n’bass roller,” the mix leaves the dancefloor at daybreak: buoyant, affectionate and still chasing the rush.
