Review
Siiickbrain’s sophomore album pairs urgent, rave-ready tempos with a confrontational embrace of industrial grime and trap-infused electronics. Arriving on the heels of major collaborations, the record thrives on high-energy friction, pitting metallic percussion and acid synth basslines against defensive, bruised vocals.
Yet, critics suggest the execution struggles to match this raw intensity. Writing for Kerrang!, reviewers felt the album's sheer ambition was bogged down by repetition, noting that "the vision is clear, but the execution is muddier" as several tracks drift down "one inky, vodka-soaked road without reaching an ignition point". When the record does connect—such as on the highlight track "LOSER"—it succeeds by "fusing [its] fizzing darkness with a club-ready chorus".
German outlet Visions similarly remarked on this polished but overly familiar delivery, observing that while the aggressive production "bangs quite nicely," the overall project "sometimes sounds a bit too routine". Ultimately, while the record showcases a compelling template for cross-genre crossover, critics view it as a transitional step whose underlying potential has not yet been given enough space to breathe.
