Rather than settling into sedative drift, the music invites uneasy apparitions to share the air.
The gentle organ thrum of "Conductor" and the billowing, suspended strums of "Coast Starlight" quickly shade toward apprehension. Electric piano accents and detuned synthesizers warp Carl Hultgren's oceanic sustain, prodding "Alvin Loving" from sunlit resonance into tape-hiss turbulence. By "Apparition on 3rd Street," pastoral comfort curdles into whistling frequencies and icy reverberations, only for "Timelines" to coax faint amber tones back through the fog. Domestic ease and ghostly estrangement remain locked in quiet conversation until the tape runs out.
